Tinderbox 2024

Tinderbox 2024 takes place 27-29 June 2024 in Tusindårsskoven, Odense.

We look forward to seeing you.

The Tinderbox festival site is situated in Tusindaarsskoven in Odense. Entrance to the festival site via the intersection Kløvermosevej/Falen.

Tickets

Tinderbox’ tickets are now Mobile Only-tickets. This means that your ticket is 100% digital and cannot be physically printed. The ticket is linked to your personal Ticketmaster profile and is accessible in the Ticketmaster app or on Ticketmaster.dk.

Screenshots or printed images of the ticket will not grant you access to the festival. You can only gain entry with the digitally watermarked tickets available on the app or website.

If you have multiple tickets for other people stored in your account, you must arrive together so that we can scan the tickets collectively from your phone. Alternatively, you can transfer the tickets using Ticket Transfer on the Ticketmaster app or Ticketmaster.dk.

Please note that Early Bird tickets are NOT part of Mobile Only.

Read more about mobile tickets here.

If you don’t have a smartphone, please contact Ticketmaster for further instructions.

Purchase of tickets is not subject to any return. Therefore, you can not get your money refunded, if you are unable to attend the festival. Tickets are only refundable if the festival is canceled. Please see conditions at the official ticket provider.

For questions about refunding or changing already purchased tickets, please refer to info@tinderbox.dk.

The final line up is subject to any changes.

Every year some of our guests have trouble finding the e-mail with the ticket they have bought. So look for your ticket before the festival starts if you do not want to end up in a queue. If you cannot find the e-mail with your Tinderbox ticket, you can contact the ticket provider’s customer support. Alternatively, you can contact customer support at the festival site from Thursday at 1.00 pm to get your ticket.

The buyer’s name will always be the name on the ticket, but the ticket will still be valid even if you give it away as a gift. You might, however, have to confirm your relation to the buyer at the entrance to the festival.

NB: This applies only to purchased tickets through our official ticket provider. It does NOT apply to guest tickets which are personal.

We strongly advise that you do not use pages like Viagogo who deliberately sell tickets at overprice.

When buying a ticket from someone you do not know, the ticket may in theory be fake or copied, and therefore the barcode will not work at the entrance. This means you will be rejected at the entrance and Tinderbox takes no responsibility for this. As follows we can not in any way help you verify tickets that are purchased unofficially.

With an Installement Ticket you get a full festival pass, but pay in four installments.

Only full festival passes are available as installment tickets. Deadline for signing up is december 30th. 2023.

The four installments are paid:
1. January 2024
1. Februar 2024
1. March 2024
1. April 2024

You can only purchase one installment ticket at a time.

Your ticket will be accessible in your Ticketmaster account during the month of May. Please contact Ticketmaster if you experience any troubles.

Disability services

There is only disabled parking on Væddeløbsbanen. Here, you must have a valid handicap sign in the car to park, and you therefore do not have to buy a parking ticket. A shuttle bus runs between the disabled parking and the entrance. There is, of course, room for wheelchairs and companions in the bus as well.

There will be separate podiums for wheelchair users and disabled toilets at the festival site.

Please note, that most of the site is covered with grass and that in case of rain it can be difficult to get around in a wheelchair.

Accommodation, transport and parking

Once again this year, it is possible to stay at TB Camping – a cozy campsite located only 1800 meters from the festival site at Væddeløbsbanen in Odense. Here, you can choose from various accommodation options such as Glamping, TB tents, regular tent spots, or standard camp spots for your caravan. Everything a festival heart desires.

Furthermore, it’s a campsite where we take pride in leaving it as we found it – and we all pitch in to achieve that. Therefore, you pay a deposit of 500 DKK for a spot, which you will get back once your spot is left in a clean and tidy condition.

You can read more about the campsite and the various accommodation options here.

Tinderbox is located a few kilometers from Odense C. The exact address is Tusindårsskoven, Falen, Odense V.

If you come from Odense C, it is easiest to go via Vesterbro, turn left at Grønløkkevej and then turn right onto Falen. Then you will arrive at Tusindårsskoven on your right.

If you are coming from Odense Railway Station, turn down Vestre Stationsvej, turn right onto Vesterbro and shortly afterwards turn left onto Falen. Stay at Falen until you meet Tusindårsskoven on your right hand side.

You can also use the Odense Rundt app, which can help you find exactly your easiest way to Tinderbox.

If you come by car to Tinderbox, you have the opportunity to park at Fyens Væddeløbsbane or Dyrskuepladsen, both of which are a stone’s throw from Tinderbox. Parking tickets are available on the ticket page.

Payment methods on site

Which forms of payment are valid on Tinderbox?

Credit cards are accepted in all stalls. It is not possible to pay with cash in the stalls, but in the value card stalls you can have cash deposited on a value card that can be used in all stalls.

The following payment cards can be used in all sales stalls:

– Dankort
– Mastercard
– Maestro
– Visa
– Visa Electron
– Foreign Visa
– American Express
– Eurocard
– CUP
– JCB International

I have a debit card – can I use it?

Debit cards are valid payment in all our bars and stalls. If you, as a debit card holder, encounter a cash register terminal that is offline, the debit card will not be usable. Often the offline situation will only be linked to the individual cash register, which is why the neighboring cash register will most likely be able to complete the payment. The staff is instructed in how to proceed.

If all cash terminals are offline in a bar or a stall, it will not be possible to make a payment by debit card. Our guests are referred to the value card booth that can help in such a situation.

NB! When buying food and beverages at the festival, ”Down The Drain” (not Tinderbox) will appear on your bank statements.

What is contactless payment?

The banks issue payment cards that can be used as “contactless payment”, provided that the terminal is able to receive contactless payment. Such cards are equipped with an NFC chip. You can check if your card is ready for contactless payment by looking for this mark on the card.

If your card does not have this mark, you can contact your bank if you want to be ready for contactless payment.

At Tinderbox, all Dankort terminals receive contactless payment. This means that a payment is made by simply holding your card over the terminal, if the amount is less than DKK 350. For amounts over DKK 350, you must enter your PIN code, and when your card has been used contactlessly 10 times without entering of PIN, enter your PIN regardless of the amount. This is solely to avoid abuse if you lose a card with NFC chip.

We will of course accept your cash at the site (max DKK 19,999). In our value card booth, you can deposit cash on to a value card that you can use anywhere on the site.

If you spend all the money on your value card, you can contact the value card booth to get it filled up (unless you already reached the limit of DKK 19,999)

Read more about value cards under the section “Value cards”.

You can not use MobilePay at Tinderbox.

The mobile network always works poorly at a festival!

We have a strong focus on the mobile network, but are also aware that it is sometimes heavily burdened, and that is the reason why we have chosen not to let our payment system be dependent on the mobile network.

The payment system is connected around a wired internet connection and is therefore not affected if the mobile network is burdened.

What happens if the internet fails?

There will be ongoing challenges for the internet connection at an outdoor festival site – cables are torn over, power fails or the like. In the vast majority of cases, the problem is related to individual bars/stalls and often to only one or a few terminals in – and the vast majority of problems are solved within a very short time.

It does not affect the payment options if the cash terminals are offline, so it is not something you as a guest will notice unless you are a debit card holder (see section on Nets).

Do you not have a debit or credit card or just want to pay with cash on Tinderbox? Whatever the reason, you can choose a value card. In the value card booth, you can deposit money on a value card, which you can then use in all bars and stalls.

Deposit on the value card

When buying a value card, you must pay a deposit of 100 DKK. The deposit will be returned at the value card stall when you have your remaining balance paid out. If you decide to contact Tinderbox at info@tinderbox.dk after the festival, the 100 DKK deposit will cover an administration fee of 85 DKK.

If payment of a possible balance must be made via bank transfer, either during or after the festival, as described in the section on balance, an administration fee of 85 DKK will be charged for administration in connection with the bank transfer. The fee will be set off against your deposit if there is insufficient balance on the value card to cover the administration fee.

ATTENTION! If you use up the card, do NOT give it to the bartender, as you will not be able to get your deposit back. To get your deposit back you must return the value card to the value card stall.

Photograph your value card

When you receive your value card, it is a good idea to photograph it so that the 10-digit number on the card can be read. You need the image if you lose your value card, and you must use it if you want any balance transferred via bank transfer after the festival (procedure is described in more detail in the section on balance).

Can I use my value card again?

Yes, value cards bought in connection with Tinderbox 2022, can be used during future Tinderbox festivals. If you keep your value card, your balance will remain on your card. Your deposit will be returned, once you return the card to the value card stall.

How do I get my balance on the credit card returned?

You can go to the value card stall at any time and have your remaining balance transferred to your payment card. You will also receive your deposit back.

Please note, that it’s only possible to receive the balance on a credit card. It will not be possible to get the refund back in cash or via MobilePay.

If you do not have a credit card, please write an email to info@tinderbox.dk. You must include the 10-digit card number + your bank information in order to receive the remaining balance via bank transfer. In connection with the bank transfer there will be charged a 85 DKK fee. The fee will be set off against your deposit, if there is not enough balance on your value card to cover the administration fee.

Processing time for payment of the remaining balance via bank transfer can be up to 30 days.

When is the value card booth open?

The value card booth follows the festival site’s opening hours.

What happens if I lose my value card?

When you buy a value card in the value card booth, you must photograph the 10-digit card number on the front of the card, so you always have it if you lose the card. If you have an accident, you should contact the value card booth immediately, and they will make sure to shut down the lost card and transfer your remaining balance to a new card.

It is possible to use contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay in our bars and stalls. There may be temporary outages on the festival site’s internet. Contactless/mobile payment cannot be used during these periods.

What is contactless?

The banks issue payment cards that can be used as “contactless payment”, if the Dankort terminal is capable of receiving contactless payment. Such cards are equipped with an NFC chip. You can check if your card is ready for contactless payment by looking for this mark on the card.

If your card does not have this mark, you can contact your bank if you want to be ready for contactless payment.

At Tinderbox, all Dankort terminals accept contactless payment. This means that a payment is made by simply holding your card over the Dankort terminal, if the amount is under DKK 350. For amounts over DKK 350, you must enter your pin code, and when your card has been used contactless 10 times without entering of pin code, you must enter your pin code regardless of the size of the amount. This is purely to prevent abuse if you lose a card with an NFC chip.

If you are suffering from allergies or have other special needs that can be a challenge during the festival or if you cannot consume the food offered on the site for health reasons, you can write us an e-mail.

If you have young children and need to bring baby food or similar, this is also allowed.
