New international headliners and local Danish darlings for Tinderbox

Stormzy, Zara Larsson, Aqua and IAMDDB are among the 12 new names added to this year’s Tinderbox. Besides from the expansion of the musical lineup, day-tickets have now gone on sale.

The program for Tinderbox – which takes place in Tusindårsskoven in Odense, Denmark from June 23rd to June 25th – will once again present both international stars, exciting upcoming artists and a string of national musical heroes.

Today’s announcement is no exception and thus offers a good mix of old and new, Danish and international, rap, rock, pop, R&B and even pop-punk. The total of 12 new names will join previously announced acts such as Muse, Imagine Dragons, MØ, George Ezra and Coco O.

Added to the lineup is Stormzy who might just be the biggest rapper in the UK right now. With his latest album Heavy Is the Head from 2019, the London MC once again claimed his throne in the modern Grime scene. Also, the Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson will pay Tinderbox a visit with her most recent record Poster Girl and irresistible bangers like “Lush Life”, “Look What You’ve Done” and “Talk About Love”. The final two international acts in this announcement are found on the slightly smaller, but just as interesting scenes. The British self-proclaimed ‘urban jazz’ artist IAMDDB has melted hearts with her soft-as-silk R&B vocals, heavy trap beats and important message of self-empowerment, while US-based KennyHoopla represents the rising new wave of emotional Gen Z pop-punk artists that are taking over the global music scene right now.

The four international acts are accompanied by some of the most popular artists in Denmark. The brilliant rap-trio Suspekt returns to Tinderbox with their notoriously over-the-top shows, while Saveus marks a highly anticipated return to the live stage with a new album coming later this year. Same goes for Spleen United who – after six years of silence – are more than ready to bring back their high-energy dance/rock/rave-parties.

Aqua is – and have long been – one of the greatest Danish music exports and is one of the names that Tinderbox-fans have wished to see the most. They’ll deliver the nostalgic 90’s pop party we’re all craving for, while R&B-crooner Burhan G will show why he’s one of the most critically acclaimed live acts in Denmark. Rising singer and songwriter Hjalmer has charmed his growing fan base with his easy-going and catchy pop songs about the ups and downs of being alive and in love, and Rasmus Walter celebrates more than 20 years in the Danish music scene as both band member and successful solo artist. Last but not least, the local upcoming Odense-duo Statisk will prove why the new wave of Danish indiepop/rock is so exciting to follow at the moment with their poetic lyrics about being young and finding yourself equally restless and euphoric while searching for the answers in life.
