Kayak is a Danish indie pop group consisting of Eva Berghamar, Carl Magnus Olsen, and Albert Odgaard, who have quickly established themselves as one of the most interesting new voices on the local scene.
They first gained widespread attention with the singles “Svært Ikke At Forsvinde” and “Stories,” the latter of which was named P3’s Ugens Uundgåelige and gave the band significant radio airplay early in their career.
Their music is characterized by layers of synths, airy vocals, and experimental guitars. The lyrics revolve around emotions, doubt, longing, and hope. Together, this creates a sound that feels both expansive and intimate at the same time—while still offering melodies you can sing along to.
In 2025, Kayak released their debut EP Under Øjenlåg, which opened the door to a universe filled with both melancholy and a desire to find one’s footing in the world. The EP brought them onto the stages of several major Danish venues and paved the way for their first headline shows in the autumn of 2025.
At Tinderbox 2026, audiences can look forward to a concert where both the vulnerable melodies and the big moments are given room to fully unfold live.
