See the first headliners for TB19
Lana Del Rey and A$AP Rocky are the newest headliners to be added to the 2019 line-up. Along with the two American superstars, Macklemore and Dropkick Murphys are among the first international names to join Swedish House Mafia at Tinderbox 2019
The announcements for Tinderbox started yesterday with the announcement of the world’s largest EDM name – Swedish House Mafia – and continues today with eight new names, including several US megastars.
The first is iconic Lana Del Rey, who has released four albums with sensual compelling pop since 2012, drawing on a mix of dreamy noir pop and triphop. The million-selling singer has made a name for herself with “Video Games”, “Young and Beautiful”, “Summertime Sadness” and “Lust for Life” and has announced that new music is on its way in 2019. The fascinating American has not visited Denmark since 2014, where she received great reviews for her concert at NorthSide. So it will be a welcomed revisit when she walks on stage in front of her many fans at Tinderbox.
Rapper A$AP Rocky also has not been to Denmark since 2014 – back when he was current with the album “Long.Live.A$AP” and the singles “Fuckin ‘Problems” and “Wild for the Night”. Since then, he has been very succesful with Selena Gomez on “Good for You” and with G-Easy on “No Limit” in addition to his own tracks like “Everyday”, “ASAP Forever” (feat Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson) and ” Praise the Lord (Da Shine) “. The always stylish American is a tornado on stage, so you can almost certainly look forward to another demonstration of power when he returns to Denmark in June.
High energy is a given when Macklemore grabs the microphone and delivers bangers like “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” – two songs with more than one billion streams combined on Spotify. The rapper from Seattle was called “Miracle Maker Macklemore” the last time he visited Denmark, for a concert where his enthusiasm and star quality rubbed off all the way to the back rows. Macklemore is an amazing performer who will put a smile on everyone in Tusindårsskoven.
The last international name in this round is the Boston band with the Irish roots: Dropkick Murphys, kicking life in to everything and everyone with their energetic mix of punk and folk music. Joining the international stars are three of the strongest names in the Danish hiphop environment: L.O.C., Suspekt and Benal. Suspekt has previously played at Tusindårsskoven with great success, but it is the first visit to Tinderbox for the super duo behind “Uh Babe” and “Now here”. Latest chapter in the history of L.O.C. is the rapper’s ninth album, characterized by a crew of drums, grunge guitar, doepfer synth and an 808 drum machine, and the analogue process ended in a uncompromising expression where music and text were cut to the bone.
Last but not least, we also welcome the electronic artist Lydmor who is currently riding an impressive wave of success after the release of the excellent album “I Tell You I’d Tell Them Our Story”.
The line-up for Tinderbox 2019 is, after the first two releases, as follows: A$AP Rocky, Benal, Dropkick Murphys, L.O.C., Lana Del Rey, Lydmor, Macklemore, Suspekt and Swedish House Mafia.
Tinderbox 2019 will be held in Tusindårsskoven in Odense on June 27th-29th 2019, and three-day tickets can be purchased via Tinderbox.dk from Friday November 30th at 10 am.
