You’re standing in the middle of a crowd – alone yet connected. You’re swept into the world of White Lies: a space between urban melancholy and euphoric release. You dance with your demons and belt out lyrics that stir every emotion. They don’t tell you what to feel. They show you – line by line.
White Lies are Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave, and Jack Lawrence-Brown. The trio once performed under the name Fear of Flying, but in 2007 they left that behind and discovered a new musical identity. Under their new name, they released their debut album To Lose My Life… in 2009, striking a sweet spot on the British indie rock scene. The album shot straight to number one on the charts, marking the beginning of their journey.
In 2022, White Lies shifted toward a still-rocking but more pop-infused and electronic vibe with the release of As I Try Not To Fall Apart. Without losing their essence, they revealed a clear desire to experiment—and with their 2025 singles “Keep Up,” “In the Middle,” and “Nothing On Me,” they’ve underlined that evolution.
We’re excited to experience their gift for embracing chaos and complexity live at Tinderbox this summer.
