Following a string of successful singles, being named Danish radio P3’s “Ugens Uundgåelige” (This Week’s Unmissable) winning KarriereKanonen 2025, and completing two extensive tours with concerts across Denmark, Germany, and Norway, the band finally released their long-awaited debut album “Kravler før vi går” in February to strong reviews.
The group has often been described as a love child between TV-2 and Patina – more precisely, as an uptempo, engaging, and refreshing take on indie rock with an intense emotional core.
Downtown July invites both dancing and deeply reflective moments, describing their own music as “groove and cry.”
At the recently held SPOT Festival in Aarhus, they impressed both audiences and critics alike. The music magazine GAFFA awarded them 6/6 stars, writing: “It’s rare that I have a concert experience where, from the very first song, I think: ‘Why on earth haven’t I listened more to this before now?’”
Now you have the chance to begin your journey with the Danish breakout band as they take on their biggest stage to date, opening the Plaza stage on Friday, June 26, at Tinderbox.
