Scissor Sisters, The Streets and 7 more acts added
January 27th 2025
From Danish hitmakers to iconic global stars: Today, we’ve unveiled nine new names for the lineup – and there’s more coming very soon!
Scissor Sisters (US)
American Scissor Sisters announced their comeback to the live stage last year after a 12-year hiatus, unveiling an extensive UK tour for 2025 – and now Danish fans can finally look forward to experiencing the flamboyant showmen once again. Nearly 20 years after the release of their self-titled debut album, the New York group remains icons of the international disco/pop scene and pioneers of the vibrant queer scene, which has only grown since their beginnings in the early 2000s.
The Streets (UK)
The Streets, the musical alias of charismatic rapper Mike Skinner, has delivered countless memorable live shows and released several albums that were groundbreaking for the British hip-hop scene. With his unique blend of grime, garage, melodic hip-hop, and razor-sharp, humorous lyrics, albums like A Grand Don’t Come For Free and Original Pirate Material were revolutionary, making The Streets both a cult favorite and a commercial success.
Natasha Bedingfield (UK)
Multi-platinum-selling pop singer Natasha Bedingfield is known for timeless hits from the 2000s like “Pocketful of Sunshine,” “These Words,” and, of course, “Unwritten.” Beyond being staples of the dance floor, these songs became part of the soundtrack for a string of popular movies and series, including Easy A, Anyone But You, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and The Hills. Then, as now, Natasha Bedingfield’s songs continue to resonate worldwide – especially “Unwritten,” which has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify and gained massive popularity among younger audiences on TikTok throughout 2024.
Reyna tropical (US)
Rain or shine, Reyna Tropical will bring warm rhythms to Tusindårsskoven as the Mexican-American artist showcases her critically acclaimed blend of Congolese, Peruvian, and Mexican musical traditions, paired with messages of queer love, femininity, and spirituality.
Danish legends og new hitmakers
In addition to the four international additions to the lineup, five Danish artists have also announced their arrival.
The rock veterans of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy are finally returning to the festival after their last performance in 2018. With songs like “Silverflame,” “Love Is a Loser’s Game,” “Glory,” and “Waterline,” the trio, led by Tim Christensen, has played an enormous role on the Danish rock scene – and now they’re ready to once again send sweat-drenched guitar riffs echoing through Odense.
Seasoned acts Love Shop and Hugorm are also making their return to the festival, each bringing a string of critically acclaimed concerts in their wake. Meanwhile, the festival is also unveiling two rising stars who, over the past few years, have helped shape the pop landscape.
Ida Laurberg performed at the festival for the first time in 2023 as a last-minute replacement for English artist Dylan. Since then, her career has only flourished further, with a performance on Roskilde’s iconic Orange Stage, the release of her debut album Bænkevarmer (Benchwarmer), and a string of new singles such as “Mellem Mor Og Far” (Between Mom and Dad), “Det’ Bare Sådan Det Ser Ud” (That’s Just How It Looks), “god dag” (good day), and “Min Ven” (My Friend).
August Høyen has, over the past few years, solidified his name in Denmark with his heartfelt songs, raw honesty, and soulful universe. With a series of sold-out shows under his belt, he’s ready to envelop Tusindårsskoven in his captivating presence.
