Ida performed her own singles “Personal Letters” and “Feels So Loud,” as well as a duet with the Danish hitmaker Tobias Rahim titled “Stimulanser,” at The Voice Awards in 2021, where she won the award for “Best New Artist.” She has toured with major artists such as Jada, Nicklas Sahl, and Calby, and there is much anticipation for Ida Laurberg’s exciting future with plenty of new music on the way.
In December 2023, Ida Laurberg released her first Danish-language single “Terrier”; a song about being short and about how ‘small dogs bark the loudest’. Ida wrote “Terrier” in collaboration with Andreas Odbjerg and his regular collaborator Daniel Thorup, and it was produced by Pitchshifters and Mads Dyrst. Ida talks about their first session together: “Andreas asked me early on how tall I actually was, and we quickly agreed that it could be fun to write a song about being short and all that it entails.”
Although this was the first time Ida released a Danish-language single, it was not the first time she sang in the language. Ida has previously sung in Danish, including at DR’s Fællessang with “Du Det Dejligste,” and she performed at the support concert for Ukraine last year at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen with her extremely moving version of “Stille Før Storm”. Ida also collaborates with Red Barnet, where her music plays a central role in a campaign series about digital bullying.
