Born out of the beautiful landscapes of Klitmøller on the Danish west coast, HUGORM (the Danish word for a viper) have entered the music scene with an aim of shaking things up. Handing out some musical f*ck fingers. Turning things completely upside down.

The trio is fronted by famous Danish musician, actor, and satirist Simon Kvamm and released their debut-ep FOLK SKAL BARE HOLDE DERES KÆFT (translates to: PEOPLE SHOULD JUST SHUT UP) in 2020. HUGORM didn’t shut up. In fact, they presented a genre-bending record with tongue-in-cheek comments on things they were tired of in society. There was an aggressivity and energy that felt rather freeing and resonated with a growing fan bases as well as music critics.

Later that year, the trio released their first full-length record KOM VI FLYGTER, that offered more lyrical and musical punches in the stomach – with even more praise to follow. It all culminated in sold-out shows all around the country and two nominations at the Danish Music Awards in 2021 for ‘Group of the Year’ and ‘New Live Act of the Year’.

That was still only the beginning. In October 2022 their latest record came out. It was a bit softer, a bit more humorous, and once again very well-received. The trio went on another sold-out tour and received the following words from Danish music outlet GAFFA: “Are Hugorm on their way to become the country’s strongest live act?”

Well, you can find your own answer to that if you catch them at Tinderbox 2023!
