Denmark’s new pop star Ella Augusta makes her Tinderbox debut.
Ella Augusta is an up-and-coming Danish singer-songwriter who has quickly established herself as one of the most promising new voices on the Danish music scene. She writes honest and relatable pop songs that capture the emotions of youth with sharp and immediate lyrics, paired with solid melodies and razor-sharp pop production.
Last year, Ella Augusta released the single “Internetsangen,” which quickly surpassed 1.5 million streams. She then followed it with her debut EP, Sytten, featuring the hit track “Baglæns,” which also became a massive success.
Though Ella Augusta is still a fresh name, she has already performed on some of Denmark’s biggest stages alongside Danish Benjamin Hav, with whom she also released the single “Første dag.” In addition to landing spots on radio hit lists, the song earned her a nomination for ‘Listener’s Hit of the Year’ at P3 Guld, where she was also nominated for ‘P3 Talentet.’
Impressive achievements for such a new artist, but nonetheless well-deserved and not at all surprising when you hear Ella Augusta’s songs, which are the epitome of great pop.
